Police in Penticton are looking for a missing senior.

The 72-year-old woman who was reported missing Wednesday has been found, Penticton RCMP said.

 "Thank you to the public and media for your assistance," police said in a press release.

Penticton RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing senior who was last seen on Tuesday, July 2.

Preciosa Pires, 72, was reported missing on July 3 and suffers from short-term memory loss, police said.

"Police are very concerned for Preciosa’s health and well-being given her age and short-term memory loss," a press release from the RCMP reads.

Pires also goes by the first name of Lourdes and speaks fluent Portuguese, police said.

"If approached, Preciosa may appear confused or disorientated," they added.

Police describe the missing senior as:

• Caucasian female

• 5’2” (158 cm) tall

• 135 lbs (61kg)

• Slender to medium build

• Brown eyes

• Short white hair

Pires was last seen wearing a grey short-sleeve shirt, with black pants and pink flip-flops.
