Vernon’s Funtastic announces headliner for annual music festival

The rock band, The Trews, will headline the festival on Friday, June 28

The annual Funtastic A and W Music Festival, set to take place at the DND Grounds in Vernon, has a new headliner.

The Trews, a Canadian rock group, will headline Friday, June 28th’s concert.

Dubbed one of Canada’s most successful rock bands of the past decade, The Trews have racked up numerous Juno nominations and earned 19 top 10 radio singles.

Based in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, The Trews have more than 155,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

The Trews have played thousands of shows worldwide, on their own as well as supporting the Rolling Stones, KISS, Robert Plant, Guns ‘n Roses, Aerosmith, Weezer, Mumford & Sons, Bruce Springsteen, Switchfoot and more.

Also performing on the Friday are Linus, Sparrow Blue and the Young Uns. Saturday sees Courtney Hunt, Riley Taylor and Aaron Goodvin while Sunday will have Dying Breed, Angie Heinze Band, Barracusa and BC/DC perform.
